How to Play Daily Trains
Daily Trains is a free train track logic puzzle. Every day there is one new 6×6 grid. Your job: lay a single continuous railway from station A to station B.
The rules
- Connect A to B. The track enters the grid at A and leaves at B, through the marked edges.
- Follow the clues. The number beside each row and above each column tells you exactly how many cells in that line contain track.
- One line, no branches. Each track cell is a straight or a curve connecting two neighbours. No crossings, dead ends or loops.
- Fixed pieces stay. Some cells already show a piece of track. They are part of the solution and can't be changed.
Controls
- Track tool: drag across cells to lay rails between neighbours. Drag back over the last cell to erase it. Tap a cell to place or remove track.
- ✕ Block tool: tap (or drag) to mark cells that can't hold track. Tap again to remove the ✕.
- Fixed pieces (hatched, with rivets) are part of the solution and can't be changed. A and B always have track.
- Undo reverts your last change (⌘/Ctrl+Z). Clear empties the board — you can undo that too.
- A clue turns red with “!” when its row or column has too much track, and green with ✓ when it's exact.
- No need to press anything when you finish: as soon as the line is right, it lights up from A to B and your result appears, ready to share.
- Keyboard: T Track · X Block · Space/Enter apply · Tab move · ? quick help.
Tips
- Start with rows and columns whose clue is 0: mark every cell with ✕.
- A clue equal to the grid size means the whole line is track.
- Extend the fixed pieces and the A/B entries first — they force the next cell.
- Corners can only hold a curve, so a track in a corner tells you where it turns.
